Last Wednesday we sponsored our first Digital Trends breakfast meeting in partnership with Retail Week. Presenting at our event were Michael Jary, Partner at OC&C Strategy Consultants and Jeremy White, Product Editor at Wired Magazine.
It was a brilliant morning bathed in glorious sunshine with jaw dropping views stretching in every direction over London. Searcys private members club on the 39th floor of the Gherkin did not disappoint as a magnificent setting up there with the clouds overhead.
During the event we had the chance to meet with eCommerce, IT and Digital movers and shakers within the UK retail sector with organisations such as New Look, House of Fraser, Primark, Kingfisher, Waitrose, Dune, Wilko & Sainsburys all present. Michael gave an impressive presentation on key trends within the retail sector and Jeremy’s presentation which featured the rise of the Bitcoin phenomenon was also very on topic and well received.
We would like to thank all of the retailers who took time out of their busy schedules to come last week for what was a seriously high profile breakfast even if the highest point was a “Gherkin”. If you didn’t get the chance to meet with us or attend the event we will be at the Retail Week ‘Power List’ event later this year and will be hosting another Digital Trends breakfast meeting in February 2017.
