Black Pepper @ AstonHack 2017

We were delighted to not only be part of this year’s third annual hackathon at Aston University, but also as the “Silver Sponsor” for this fantastic event that took place last weekend. The AstonHack 2017, launched by the Aston Computer Science Society in 2015, forms part of the annual Major League Hacking (MLH) league, where student hackers of all level of experience participate in a 24 hour frenzied designing, coding and making. Participants were able to practice their skills, learn new technologies and APIs, and win real prizes; the prize that was up for grabs at this year’s AstonHack 2017 for our "Fake News" challenge was a Google Home Mini.

We were blown away and extremely impressed by the level of creativity and clarity to each submission received, which made it even harder for us to judge. To check out all of the submissions and winning submissions from the event, go to the Devpost Submission page.
